    I love this place. There's a shady area for eating and a great spot for little ones. And close by there's an actual man made beach. It is a bit rocky in some places.

    This is a hidden gem on the east side of Ottawa. It is a wonderful complement to Mud Lake on the West. Although it was seriously flooded this year, it is pretty much fully operational. It is easily accessible from the 417, and the day parking is only $2. It is very family oriented with many different activities. There are many lifeguards on duty, so parents should feel safe. The trails through the woods are a wonderful treat.

    Beautiful location to watch the sunset. However, you cannot set up a barbeque at this park and there are no barbeques available (mooneys bay in Ottawa offers this option). I recommend packing a picnic with friends and sitting on one of the many picnic tables to watch the sunset. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed here.

    An escape from the city. Lots of parking. Keep your eyes open for nature surprises. Hot chocolate stand would be nice though. :-)

    Very beautiful! Nothing like Florida or the Carribean but definitely the closest possible in all of Ottawa if not Ontario. The beaches are so nice and in some spots, you can almost believe you are in Cuba. Amazing trails.
