  Three of us went for lunch yesterday. Extensive menus with a lot of choices. We had fish and chips. Nice crunchy breading and big pieces. Also had breakfast poutine which was also a winner. Chicken strips also delish. Service was awesome and friendly so thanks to Jackie. :-) Relaxed feel to finish the mix. All in all, a very positive experience!

  Do not know why, but I have been burned by Kelsey's twice in one week. The one in Barrhaven is very good, so we gave this one a try for a birthday dinner. All I can say is.....disappointing. Food was poorly made and presented. Overcooked, burnt, and quite flavourless. The cocktails were too sweet. The place is dingy...like it looks like a diner, but charges you the prices of a nice restaurant. Absolutely no art or decor on the walls where we were seated. No birthday recognition, despite us saying it was the guest of honour's birthday...

  The food is excellent. I had the pleasure of making my own burger, and the onion rings were terrific. My kids also enjoyed their meals, and the giant messy cookie at the end is just great to share.

  Meh. The atmosphere, food and service are ok but nothing special. This is definitely the lower end of the scale in the Cara group of restaurants. I feel that I can't go back to Kelsey's now that I've been to Milestones. Perhaps they should focus their menu rather than trying to please everyone. Swiss chalet is in the same category but I find the food, service and atmosphere hang together better and do the rotisserie chicken and ribs thing very well while offering more value for money. Of all the Cara restaurants, Kelsey's is the one I feel is lowest on my list. It's like it wants to be a "Milestone's light", but fails to meet even lowered expectations.
